What is Brown Girl Love? Brown Girl Love is the love that lies underneath our struggle as people of color. This love is often trampled by the day to day: bills, jobs, death, depression, racism, homophobia and the list goes on. We are so busy with our lives’ we rarely have time to be present to the power of our unique, multifaceted love. Brown Girl Love is an online writing project inspired by the love between my partner and I. This project is my great attempt to share that love with the world. It is a glimpse into my explorations through love for myself, my family, my friends and my life. More importantly it is a project featuring the works of new and emerging female writers of color.
